Xatt l-Ahmar is a popular scuba diving site on the southeastern coast of Gozo. Dive sites in Xatt l-Ahmar are three deep wrecks MV Cominoland, MV Karwela and MV Xlendi, a wall reef with some caves, and a shallow bay. Karwela and Cominoland wrecks were scuttled together in 2006 whilst Xlendi wreck was scuttled 1999. All three wrecks have maximum depth of about 40 m.

MV Xlendi

MV Xlendi is deep wreck dive in Gozo. Xlendi was 80m ro-ro ferry and was scuttled for scuba diving in 1999. Xlendi wreck is upside down at 42m depth.

MV Karwela

MV Karwela is the most dived wreck in Gozo. Karwela was 50m passenger ferry and was scuttled for scuba diving in 2006. Wreck is upright at 40m depth.

MV Cominoland

MV Cominoland is deep wreck dive in Gozo. Cominoland was 40m tourist cruise ship and was scuttled for scuba diving in 2006. Wreck is upright at 40m depth.

Hephaestus

Hephaestus is an oil tanker that was scuttled to Xatt l-Ahmar on 29.8.2022 as an underwater attraction. Togo-registered Hephaestus is about 60 m in length with a beam of 8 m.
