Xghajra Reef is an interesting labyrinth of small tunnels and caves with low arches. This shore dive site is located east side of Xghajra village in south-eastern Malta, about halfway between Valletta and Marsaskala. The reef is around 100 m offshore in front of Triq il-Wesgha Tower, and the maximum depth of the dive is 18 m. The tunnel system starts from a large sinkhole and consists of a main tunnel about 15-20 m in length with several shorter side tunnels, 3-5 m long, leading out back to the reef, to around 5 m depth.

★★★★ Huge and very healthy reef. Lots of fish and some very interesting formations. Entry and exit is not great but good enough.
