Ricasoli Cannons dive site is located in Kalkara in the eastern part of Malta, near Fort Ricasoli. The cannons are situated in a sea cavern on the seaward side of the fort. There are three cannons in the cavern, two smaller (about 3 m long and 1 m in diameter) and one larger one (about 4.5 m long and 1.2 m in diameter). The cave has a hole in the roof, which collapsed with the cannons, letting a lot of light inside. This is a shallow dive, depth in the cave is only 2-3 metres, and on the reef outside is 12 metres deep.

Beware of boat traffic when diving this close to Grand Harbour entrance, always carry a DSMB and stay close to shore in shallow water.

Adam Sant, August 2021:
★★☆☆☆ The cannons might be worth seeing once - otherwise they are rather disappointing. I would recommend just snorkelling the site instead of scuba - the cannons are very shallow (1.5-2m).
