Newwiela Point is located in southern Gozo. This dive site has a shallow plateau surrounded by a steep drop-off and wall with areas covered in large boulders. The wall is reaching depths beyond 60 metres, and sandy slopes even further down. The plateau is around 6 metres depth, a perfect place for relaxing deco. Small caverns and archways can be spotted close to the plateau, and the wall and boulders are covered with a lot of holes that provide hideouts for moray eels, lobsters and octopuses that are commonly seen around the area.

★★★☆☆ Nice wall dive for when The wind is N to NW. Best done as a drift dive towards mgarr ix-Xini.
Mika Tanninen, April 2016:
★★★★ Nice boulders deeper down and caverns at shallower depths
