Xlendi Reef dive site is located in the middle of Xlendi Bay in southwest Gozo. The inner reef goes around the headland with maximum depth of 12 metres, while the outer reef extends underwater from the headland. Part of the outer reef forms a pinnacle, which reaches up almost to the surface, while maximum depth is around 25 metres. The base of the reef is covered with large boulders and Posidonia seagrass. There is usually lots of marine life around the reef. Further away from the shore the seabed deepens quite quickly and goes down well beyond 60 m.

Xlendi Reef is suitable for all levels of divers. The shallow reef is also good for diving courses as the bay is sheltered and there are no currents. The deeper part of the reef is used for technical dive training. While diving in Xlendi Bay area, beware of the boat traffic in and out of the bay.

Xlendi Reef can be dived together with nearby Xlendi Tunnel cave.

Adam Sant, June 2020:
★★★★ This can be a very nice dive if you dive the deep reef which runs roughly west of the tower (seen on land). Nice walls, depth for every level of diver and good sea life.
Matjaz Repnik, October 2017:
★★★☆☆ After come out of tunnel we continue out on reef to 30m, and even turn around to the lighthouse. A lot to see, many groupers, small morays and fishes. Not bad dive.
Mika Tanninen, April 2015:
★★☆☆☆ I've not spotted anything that interesting on the reef.
